Next Steps

If you are interested in working with one of our clinicians, please contact us. We offer a free 15 minute phone consultation and recommend this as the first step in the process. The phone consultation will allow you to see if we will be a good fit and for us to see if we have the particular skill set available to meet your needs. The fit between therapist and client is one of the most powerful components to the healing process.

If, after the phone consultation, it is determined we are not a good fit, we will offer you a minimum of 3 referrals to help guide you in your search. If we determine to move forward with an intake appointment you can get a sense of what to expect below. 

First Session: Intake Appointment

In the first session a general history will be taken to help us best assess symptoms and develop a plan for treatment. Intake sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes and follow-up sessions are scheduled for 50-60 minutes. Within the first few sessions, you and your clinician will collaborate to make a treatment plan which will guide your therapy. Our approach is client centered and gives clients the opportunity to have an active role in the therapeutic process.
